Jack Kays

Hailing from Cincinnati, 24-year-old Jack Kays has a story that is a raw, unfiltered testament to survival. His music is a unique blend of folk, hip-hop, punk rock, and alternative music, and he bares his soul in a way that walks us through his journey with mental health, addiction, and loneliness. 

"When I was at my lowest point, these songs helped me get through it, and I hope that they can do the same for others,” Jack says of his debut project MIXED EMOTIONS. The collection of songs, released in early 2021, now has over 200M+ US streams and includes the single “Morbid Mind” that first put him on the map. 

Since then, Jack released a 4-song EP with Travis Barker called MY FAVORITE NIGHTMARES. In speaking about his collaborative EP with Travis, Jack says: “‘the EP really explores this theme of duality. Sometimes with mental illness there can be two sides of a person, and I really want to shed light on that and make people feel better if they’re experiencing that themselves. It’s my hope that people feel comfortable with all sides of themselves, not just the good parts.” After MY FAVORITE NIGHTMARES, Jack released a 5-song EP titled CESSATION in November 2022, which he wrote and produced himself alongside Chikah, his longtime collaborate partner.  

After selling out his first five shows in January 2022, Jack embarked on his debut North American headline tour, in which he did near sellout business across 17 shows in 200-500 caps. He most recently supported Grandson and K.Flay in Summer 2023 across theatres/ballrooms in North America, and is currently embarking on his headline tour in 500 caps across the Southern US before he hosts the 1st Annual “Jack’s Jams” festival in his hometown of Cincinnati. 

So far in 2023, Jack has released a series of singles as he works towards his debut full-length studio album. As Jack approaches his ongoing commitment to a life of artistry, he has one mission on his mind: “to make people feel less alone.”
